Why Did I Make A Site? I originally made it because I wanted something to list my social media & review accounts, but thought linktree looked boring. And I saw people listing their neocities on bluesky. But I found that it expanded beyond its initial purpose, partially due to wanting to replicate what I saw on other neocities.

Want To Make Your Own Site: You can learn how to self host. But you also make a neocities or nekoweb account for free. Neocities has its own tutorials on how to code in html and css. I'm not sure about nekoweb, but they offer some perks that neocities does not (which are listed in their faq). There's also github & codeberg which also offer web hosting, but there's less of a community aspect to github/codeberg pages than neocities or nekoweb. Probably because the community on there is more focused on the source codes for software than anything.
