I'll be honest. I haven't been reading many studies at the time of writing this.
But when I was on a bender of reading/saving articles and studies (mostly from some video essay's sources), I loved it.
I didn't always understand the terminology. But learning things was fun. I also found out about the site Taylor And Francis Online.
It's a site for peer reviewed papers & articles. I read a study on graphemes on it, more specifically what they are. A grapheme is a single unit of writing (like a letter or part of a character).
But defining what constitutes as a unit of writing is hotly contested. You might say I'm selfish for not wanting to pay for this info.
However I found out from the youtuber & professional academic behind modern Wisecrack that academics don't even get paid for their papers by the websites, even if they require you pay for it.
That's fucked up. So use sci-hub if you want. No one is stopping you.
