Tool, if you haven't already heard of them, is an alternative metal band from the 90s & 2000s.
Their songs tend to touch on dark upsetting subject matter. And some of the lyrics can a bit cryptic.
However you can usually piece together what the song's about because they mix this with some more straightforward lines.
Like the mentions of communication in Schism or the lines "why can't we be sober? i just want to start things over. why can't we drink forever" in Sober.
Swamp Song by Tool
I'm doing a paragraph for Swamp Song because unlike most angry music, it isn't just angry because of screaming. Sure he screams too.
But even the parts where he's singing normally, you can tell from his tone of voice he's angry, concerned, disappointed, or shocked.
You can tell Maynard (the singer) had someone or some real life event in mind when he was writing this.
