Bomb Bikers of Shonan is an OVA series about a teenage biker gang, guys being guys, their rivalry with another teen biker gang,
romances with girls, and most importantly their friendships. Also their leader is into embroidery which is how he meets his gf.
It's a rare slice of life action comedy.
Unfortunately not all the episodes are translated. But it's pretty easy to understand the plot even without translations.
Cybercity Odeo 303 is a cyberpunk series that only lasted 3 episodes. It's about 3 criminals forced to capture other criminals for their release.
Each episode follows one of the criminals as they try to catch their foe. There's a critique of the criminal justice system in there somewhere.
The dub is also known for being crass. "You wouldn't recognize a god damn vampire if one jumped up and bite ya in the end of your dick." Yes, that is where that line is from.
I also love the scifi tacky outfits.
Yokohama Shopping Log is a relaxing 2 episode miniseries about a robot during the apocalypse. Yeah, you heard me right.
But it isn't a Mad Max-style apocalypse, more so a "drifting apart, hoping your paths cross again" type apocalypse.
Supposedly the manga is better since it has more time to flesh things out. But I found the OVA to be quite enjoyable.
The scenery is beautiful.
